This will be the first appearance in East Malaysia. “Dinner In The Sky” had been in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor. This is not just dining on the top floor of a sky-scrapper building. They use a crane to hoist diners, table and waiting staff up to 50 metres in the air! So, the guests will be having dinner while enjoying the view of the sunset in bird’s eye view. Furthermore, the Italian meals were special-made and served by Chef Danielle Rossetto from Ferdinand’s. It is listed in Malaysia Tatler as one of Malaysia’s best restaurants.

What makes this dining in the sky different from the others? In Kuala Lumpur & Penang, guests were able to see the bustling city from high above ground. In Johor, it was located at Puteri Harbour. Similar to Johor; in Sabah, it is going to be at Sutera Harbour. What more, the price is actually cheaper in Sabah, at RM349 per person for weekdays and RM399 per person on weekends! The price for the previous 3 locations in Peninsula Malaysia was RM599 per person on weekdays and RM699 per person on weekends for 5-course meal so “Dinner In The Sky Sabah” is practically a bargain.

‘Dinner in the Sky’ began in Belgium in 2006 and to date, over 5,000 dinners were hosted over 45 cities. According to the organizer, 2Spicy Entertainment, around 30 percent reservations were made in just three days of opening the tickets for purchase.

The necessary safety measures were taken during the flight. The seated guests will have to wear safety belts while standing presenter and crew are secured by safety harnesses all the time. Before the flight, safety supervisor will brief patrons about all the safety regulations and they will be in constant communication with the crane operator and ground crew throughout the dinner.
